If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Salzkammergut. Take the B145 road towards Bad Ischl. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will reach the Hubhanslauweg in Bad Ischl. Turn right onto Hubhanslauweg (signs may vary), and continue driving until you reach the coordinates 47.7076, 13.6405, which is the location of the Rettenbach River. Parking is available along the road, but please ensure not to block any driveways.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from your location in Salzkammergut to Bad Ischl. The train journey generally takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bad Ischl station, exit the station and locate the bus stop for local buses. Take bus number 150 or 151 towards Gmunden.
