  • Car

    If you're driving from Hallstatt, head northeast on B166 towards Obertraun. Continue on B166 until you reach the A1 motorway. Merge onto A1 towards Salzburg. Take exit 297-Salzburg-Nord, and follow signs for Salzburg Zentrum. Continue straight on Vogelweiderstraße, then turn right onto Ignaz-Harrer-Straße. Continue to follow the road as it becomes Makartplatz, and you will see the Salzburg Museum located at Mozartpl. 1 on your left.

    From Bad Ischl, take the train from Bad Ischl Bahnhof to Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (approximately 1 hour). Upon arrival at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and follow signs for the bus terminal. Take bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Salzburg Mirabellplatz'. Get off at the 'Mozartplatz' stop. The Salzburg Museum will be directly in front of you at Mozartpl. 1.

    If you are coming from St. Wolfgang, take the B158 towards Bad Ischl. Merge onto B166 towards Salzburg. Join the A1 motorway at the exit for Salzburg. Take exit 297-Salzburg-Nord, then follow signs for Salzburg Zentrum. Drive along Vogelweiderstraße and make a right onto Ignaz-Harrer-Straße. Continue onto Makartplatz, where you will find the Salzburg Museum at Mozartpl. 1.
