If you're using public transportation, take a train to Gmunden from major cities like Salzburg or Linz. Upon arrival at Gmunden train station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop. Take bus number 1 or 2 towards 'Gmunden, Traunbrücke' and get off at the 'Gmunden, Traunsee' stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Schloss Traunsee. Follow the signs towards Pensionatstraße, and you will reach your destination.

If you are already in Gmunden, Schloss Traunsee is within walking distance from the center. Start from the main square (Marktplatz) and head south towards the lake. Continue along the waterfront until you reach Pensionatstraße. Turn left onto Pensionatstraße, and you will find the castle at number 73. The walk takes approximately 20-25 minutes.
