Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Bad Ischl, which is well-connected in Salzkammergut. Drive southeast on B145 towards the Wolfgangsee lake area. Continue on B145 for about 10 kilometers, then take the exit onto B158 towards St. Wolfgang. Keep following B158 until you reach the town of St. Wolfgang. From St. Wolfgang, follow signs to Weißwand, which is approximately 8 kilometers from the town center. The drive will take around 30 minutes in total, depending on traffic. Please note that parking may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey at the Bad Ischl train station. Take the train towards St. Wolfgang and enjoy a scenic ride. Once you arrive at St. Wolfgang station, you will need to catch a local bus that connects to Weißwand. Bus schedules can vary, so be sure to check the local timetable in advance. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Keep in mind that you may need to purchase a ticket for the train (approximately €5-10) and a separate ticket for the bus (around €3-5).
