For those using public transportation, take the Zillertalbahn train to Mayrhofen. From Mayrhofen, board the bus (line 4102) towards Tux. The bus will take you directly to Hintertux. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. The bus fare is approximately €4-€5 one way.

Once in Hintertux, you will need to take the Hintertux Glacier cable car to reach the glacier itself. Purchase your ticket at the base station. A round trip ticket costs about €38 for adults and €19 for children. The cable car operates from 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.
