Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Innsbruck city center, walk to the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Once at the station, purchase a ticket for a regional train heading towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Unterammergau station. From the station, exit and walk south on Bahnhofstraße for about 500 meters until you reach Liftweg. Turn right onto Liftweg and continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach Steckenberg Alm und Skilifte, which will be on your left.

  • Bus

    From Innsbruck, head to the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof and look for the bus terminal nearby. Take the bus line 416 in the direction of Unterammergau. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Unterammergau stop. After getting off, walk up Liftweg for about 1 kilometer; you will find Steckenberg Alm und Skilifte on your left.

  • Bike Rental

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Innsbruck. Follow the bike path along the Inn River towards the west. After about 15 kilometers, take the path that leads towards Unterammergau. You will cycle along scenic routes, eventually arriving in Unterammergau. Once you reach the village, navigate to Liftweg, where Steckenberg Alm und Skilifte is located approximately 1 kilometer from the village center.
