Getting There

  • U-Bahn (Subway)

    Start your journey at any central U-Bahn station in Vienna. If you are near the city center, take the U1 line (red line) towards Leopoldau. Ride the train for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Kagran' station. Exit the train and follow the signs to the 'Kagraner Platz' exit. Once you are outside, look for bus stops, and take the bus number 20A heading towards 'Donauturm'. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Donauturm' stop, and you will see the Danube Tower directly ahead.

  • Tram

    If you are near the 'Praterstern' area, you can take the tram line 5 towards 'Heiligenstadt'. After about 10 minutes, get off at 'Kagraner Platz'. From there, transfer to bus number 20A towards 'Donauturm'. The bus will take around 10 minutes to reach the 'Donauturm' stop, where the tower will be in sight as you disembark.

  • Bus

    If you are near the 'Schüttelstraße' area, you can take bus number 92 towards 'Kagraner Platz'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Donauturm' stop. You will see the Danube Tower right in front of you. This option is particularly convenient if you are staying in the Donaustadt district or nearby.

    For those staying closer to the Danube River, you can enjoy a scenic walk or bike ride along the Danube Canal. Follow the paths towards the north, and after about 30 minutes of walking or biking, you will arrive at the Danube Tower located at Donauturmplatz 1.
