Getting there

U-Bahn (Metro)

To reach Neuer Markt, start by finding the nearest U-Bahn station. If you're in the city center, you can take the U1 line from Stephansplatz station. Board the train in the direction of Leopoldau and disembark at the next stop, Karlsplatz. At Karlsplatz, transfer to the U2 line and take it towards Stadion. Get off at the second stop, which is Stadtpark. From Stadtpark, follow the signs to exit towards the Ringstraße. Once you exit, walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Neuer Markt, located near the intersection of the Ringstraße and Kärntnertor Theater.

Tram

If you prefer to take a tram, find the nearest tram stop. From the city center, you can take tram line D from the stop 'Karlsplatz.' Board the tram towards Nußdorf and get off at the stop 'Schottentor.' From there, walk down the street towards Währinger Gürtel for about 10 minutes until you reach Neuer Markt, which will be on your right-hand side as you approach the Ringstraße.

Walking

If you are close to the city center, a pleasant way to reach Neuer Markt is by walking. Start from St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom) and head southwest towards Graben street. Continue walking down Graben until you reach the junction with Kohlmarkt. Turn left onto Kohlmarkt and walk straight until you reach the Ringstraße. Neuer Markt will be just a short walk from there, located on your left side.

Bus

To get to Neuer Markt by bus, locate the nearest bus stop. If you're near the Opera House, take bus line 1A towards Praterstern. Get off at the stop 'Karlsplatz' and transfer to tram line D. Board the tram towards Nußdorf and disembark at 'Schottentor.' From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to Neuer Markt, following the directions from the tram guidance.
