Getting There

  • Subway

If you are near any subway station in Vienna, take the U1 line (red line) towards 'Stephansplatz'. Once you arrive at 'Stephansplatz', exit the station and head northwest on Stephansplatz towards Graben. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Kärntnertor Theater. Turn left onto Kärntnertor and continue walking until you reach Helmut-Zilk-Platz, which will be on your right.

  • Tram

Find the nearest tram stop that services either the 1 or 2 tram line. Board the tram heading towards 'Schottentor' (for tram 1) or 'St. Marx' (for tram 2). If you take tram 1, get off at the 'Schottentor' stop. From there, walk southeast on Währinger Straße, and after about 500 meters, take a right onto Helmut-Zilk-Platz. If you take tram 2, get off at 'Resselgasse' and walk in the same direction towards Helmut-Zilk-Platz, which is about 400 meters away.

  • Bus

Locate a nearby bus stop that services bus line 13A or 40A. Board the bus heading towards 'Schottentor' for 13A or 'Karlsplatz' for 40A. If you are on line 13A, get off at 'Schottentor' and walk as described above for the tram directions. If you are on line 40A, get off at 'Karlsplatz' and walk north along the Ringstraße towards Helmut-Zilk-Platz, which will be approximately a 15-minute walk.

  • Walking

If you are already in the Innere Stadt area, simply walk towards Helmut-Zilk-Platz. Start from St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom), head northwest towards Graben street, then continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kärntnertor Theater. Turn left onto Kärntnertor and walk until you reach Helmut-Zilk-Platz. It should take you around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.
