If you are near the Vienna State Opera, head north on Opernring toward Kärntnertor Theater. Continue straight onto Operngasse, then turn right onto the Ringstraße. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the Stephansplatz. St. Stephen's Cathedral will be visible ahead.

U-Bahn (Metro)
Take the U1 line (red) from any station in Vienna that connects to the U-Bahn. If you're at Karlsplatz, board the U1 towards Leopoldau. Travel for 2 stops and get off at Stephansplatz station. Exit the station, and you will find St. Stephen's Cathedral directly in front of you as you emerge from the exit.

If you are near the Ringstraße, you can take the tram line 1 or 2. Board either tram heading towards Schwedenplatz. Get off at the Stephansplatz stop, and St. Stephen's Cathedral will be right in front of you. The journey takes about 10 minutes.
