Located in Vienna's 19th district, Döbling, 12.-Februar-Platz is a park with a significant history. Originally named Karl-Marx-Platz in 1930, it was renamed on January 10, 1985, to commemorate the February Uprising of 1934. This event marked a crucial moment in Austrian history, witnessing clashes between the Social Democratic Party and the Austro-fascist regime. The park is opposite the Karl-Marx-Hof, a famous municipal housing complex. During the February Uprising, the Karl-Marx-Hof became a site of conflict, with the Federal Army shelling the area. 12.-Februar-Platz serves as a reminder of these troubled times, offering a space for reflection. In 2011, the park was restored after the construction of an underground parking garage. The redesign mirrors the original park layout from the 1930s. The park features a large lawn area divided symmetrically by intersecting pathways. At the heart of the park stands the monument "The Sower," surrounded by trees. Access to the park is facilitated by two wide staircases, with ramps also available for accessibility. The park's design includes many benches, inviting visitors to relax and enjoy the surroundings. For children, there is a seesaw and carousels. The park's lighting retains its old-style charm. The park spans approximately 10,417 square meters.
