If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Mayrhofen, which is a popular base in the Zillertal Alps. From Mayrhofen, take the B169 road heading east towards Zell am Ziller. Continue on the B169 for about 10 km until you reach the junction for the Zillertal Hauptstraße (B169). Take a right onto the Zillertal Hauptstraße and continue for another 7 km. Look for signs indicating the Brettfall Tunnel as you approach the area. The tunnel is located near the village of Gerlos. You can park in designated areas near the tunnel entrance, but be mindful of parking regulations.

For travelers using public transportation, you can take a train to the nearest main station, which is in Zell am Ziller. From there, catch a PostBus (Bus Line 4114) heading towards Gerlos. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Once you arrive at the Gerlos stop, it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Brettfall Tunnel. Follow the road signs along the way to guide you to the tunnel entrance.
