Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Center: A Gateway to Bahrain's Pearling History

Located in the heart of Muharraq, the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Center serves as an iconic entrance to the Pearling Path, a 3.5 km UNESCO World Heritage site. The center is designed to preserve and showcase the rich history of Bahrain's pearling industry, which thrived from the 2nd century until the 1930s. The pearling industry significantly influenced Bahrain's economy and social fabric, and the Pearling Path is the only surviving site that holds a complete legacy of this cultural tradition.The center itself is an architectural marvel, designed by Valerio Olgiati architects, incorporating the ruins of historic structures. The building features exhibition spaces, areas for children and workshops, the Pearling Heritage Archive, a library, and conference facilities.
