Gowainghat, situated in the Sylhet district of Bangladesh, serves as a gateway to some of the country's most stunning natural attractions. Named after the Goyain River, the area boasts a rich history, having been established as a Thana under British rule in 1908. Today, Gowainghat is an upazila comprising 13 unions and numerous villages, characterized by its lush greenery, rivers, and proximity to the Indian state of Meghalaya.Visitors to Gowainghat can explore nearby attractions such as Jaflong, famous for its rolling stones and Khasi culture, and Bisnakandi, known for its stone beds and river crossings.
