Walking
If you are in the central area of Sylhet, such as near Sylhet Railway Station, head east on Shahjalal University Road. Continue for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Zindabazar Road. Turn left onto Zindabazar Road and walk for another 500 meters. Zindabazar will be on your right. This walk will take you through the heart of the city, past landmarks like the Central মুসলিম সাহিত্য সংসদ, and offers a glimpse into daily life in Sylhet.
Rickshaw
From any point in Sylhet city, including the Sylhet Railway Station or the bus stand (Jolshiri), the easiest way to reach Zindabazar is by rickshaw. Simply tell the rickshaw driver 'Zindabazar' or show them the address 'Sylhet 3100'. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Expect to pay between 30 to 80 BDT for a short trip within the city. Always agree on the fare before starting your ride, as most rickshaw drivers don't use meters.
Public Transport
If you're near the central bus terminal, you can catch a local bus heading towards Zindabazar. Look for buses with 'Zindabazar' written on them. The bus fare is minimal (around 20 BDT), and the journey typically takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the crowd, and you will find yourself in the vibrant market atmosphere of Zindabazar.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are available in Sylhet. A ride from Osmani International Airport to Zindabazar will cost approximately 200-300 BDT and take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. From other parts of the city, the fare will be lower. Be aware that fares may increase during peak hours.
