From the Parliament Buildings or National Heroes Square, simply walk east towards the Careenage (the inner harbor). The square is situated on the waterfront, adjacent to the Chamberlain Bridge and Independence Arch. Look for the statue of Errol Barrow, which marks the center of the square.
Public Transport
If arriving by public transport, take any bus heading to Bridgetown. The Fairchild Street Bus Terminal is a short walk from Independence Square. From the terminal, walk towards the waterfront and Chamberlain Bridge; the square will be on your left. Bus fare is BBD $3.50 per person, payable in cash (Barbadian dollars). Exact fare is required on Transport Board buses.
Taxi/Ride-Share
