Public Transport
From Grantley Adams International Airport or Bridgetown, the most economical way to reach Maxwell Beach is by bus. From the airport, take the #27 bus towards Oistins and get off at Maxwell Main Road, a short walk to the beach. From Bridgetown, take any bus heading towards Oistins (e.g., #12A, #12D, #27) from the Fairchild Street Terminal and alight at Maxwell. The bus fare is BBD 3.50 (approximately USD 1.75) per person, payable in cash. Ensure you have the exact fare as change is not given on Transport Board buses. Yellow mini buses and ZR vans also service this route and give change.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are readily available at Grantley Adams International Airport and throughout Barbados. A taxi from the airport to Maxwell Beach will cost approximately BBD 30-40 (USD 15-20), depending on traffic and the specific location of your accommodation near the beach. A taxi from Bridgetown to Maxwell Beach will cost approximately BBD 36-44 (USD 18-22). Always confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Driving
If driving from Grantley Adams International Airport, follow Highway 7 towards Oistins. Continue along the south coast road, and you'll find Maxwell Beach well-signposted. There is a large public parking lot located near the beach that offers free parking, although spaces are limited. Street parking is also available nearby. Parking costs may vary, but expect to pay around BBD 5-10 (USD 2.50-5) per hour at paid parking lots, if available.
