    The Handelsbeurs is located on Kouter 29, in the city center. From Korenmarkt, a central square, walk south along the Veldstraat. Turn left onto Kouter. The Handelsbeurs will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5 minutes. No costs are involved.

Originally built in the 19th century as a stock exchange, the building has been transformed into a premier venue for musical performances and cultural events. The Handelsbeurs, also known as HA Concerts, stands as a testament to Ghent's vibrant arts scene. Throughout its history, the building has served various functions, including a shooting range, guildhall, main guardhouse (500-1770), horse post office and post hotel (1776-1850), and a meeting place for commerce and industry. In 1997, the Noordstarfonds decided to renovate the Handelsbeurs, equipping it with state-of-the-art stage infrastructure. The hall was inaugurated on September 27, 2002, and now features moving stage elements that allow the space to transform from a standing room to a classic theater in just twenty minutes. Today, the Handelsbeurs hosts a wide array of events, from classical symphonies to modern indie bands, jazz concerts, global music events, rock performances, and special shows for children.
