If you're starting from the Aalst city center, head towards the Aalst train station. From the station, take the train to Ghent. The train ride should take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Ghent's central station (Gent-Sint-Pieters), exit the station and follow the signs for tram or bus services. Take tram line 1 towards 'Beveren' and get off at 'Korenmarkt' stop. From Korenmarkt, walk towards the canal. You will see the Graslei on your left as you approach the water.

From Aalst, go to the bus station and take bus number 120 towards Ghent. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Gent Dampoort' bus stop. From there, walk towards the river, and you will reach the Graslei in about 10 minutes. Follow the signs to the 'Graslei' street, which runs parallel to the canal.

The route is approximately 20 kilometers and should take around 1 hour.
