From the Aalst train station, exit onto the main street and head south towards the city center. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the town square (Grote Markt). Continue walking straight past the town square until you reach the intersection with the street called 'Kraanlei'. Turn left onto Kraanlei and follow the street. You will see the notable street and its charming surroundings shortly after.

From the Aalst bus station, take bus line 100 towards Ghent. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Gent - Sint-Pieters' stop. From there, transfer to tram line 1 towards 'Desteldonk' and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Kraanlei' stop. Once you exit the tram, you will be at the beginning of Kraanlei, where you can explore the street and its attractions.
