Walking
From the Aalst train station, head south on Stationstraat towards the city center. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Grote Markt. Turn right onto the Grote Markt and walk straight until you reach the end of the square. You will see a large street called Kattestraat. Follow Kattestraat until you reach the end where it intersects with the Brusselsesteenweg (N9). Take a bus or tram towards Brussels. Once in Brussels, disembark at the nearest stop to Place du Petit Sablon, which is a short walk away from the statue.

Public Transport
From the Aalst train station, catch a train heading to Brussels Central Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Brussels Central, exit the station and head towards the exit that leads to the Rue de la Montagne. Once outside, take a left on Rue de la Montagne and walk until you reach the Rue des Bouchers. Turn right on Rue des Bouchers and then take a left onto Rue de la Régence. Continue straight until you reach Place du Petit Sablon, where you will find the Statue of Counts Egmont and Hoorn.
