Getting There

Walking

From the Grote Markt, Antwerp's central square, walk north towards the Scheldt river. Turn left onto Suikerrui and then right onto Hoogstraat. Continue straight, then turn left onto Rodestraat. The Beguinage will be on your left. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport

From Antwerp Central Station, take tram line 3 or 5 towards the city center. Get off at the Meirbrug stop. Walk along Meir towards the Grote Markt, then follow the walking directions. A single tram ticket costs €2.50 if purchased on board or €1.80 via the De Lijn app.
Taxi

Despite facing challenges such as occupation by reformists and desecration during the French Revolution, the Beguinage was restored and continued to house Beguines until 1986 when the last Beguine of Antwerp, Virginie Laeremans, passed away.Today, the Beguinage is a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering visitors a tranquil escape from the city. Enclosed within tall brick walls, the complex features picturesque brick houses, a Baroque entrance, and a serene courtyard centered around St. Catherine's Church.
