Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Antwerp Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main entrance. Once outside, turn left and walk along the De Keyserlei street for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the Meir. Turn right onto Meir, the main shopping street. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Meir, where it opens up into the large square known as the Groenplaats. From Groenplaats, you will see the Cathedral of Our Lady ahead of you. Walk towards the cathedral and to your left, you will find the Grote Markt. Antwerp City Hall is located on the left side of this square, at Grote Markt 1. The building is recognizable by its unique architecture and is situated near the Brabo Fountain.

  • Public Transport (Tram)

    If you're near the Opera House, you can take Tram 3 or Tram 5 towards the 'Harmonie' stop. Once on the tram, stay on for about 5 stops and get off at 'Meir' stop. From there, continue walking straight to the end of Meir, which will bring you to Groenplaats. From Groenplaats, walk towards the Cathedral of Our Lady, and then turn left to reach the Grote Markt. Antwerp City Hall is located at Grote Markt 1, right next to the Brabo Fountain.

  • Walking from the Cathedral of Our Lady

    If you are at the Cathedral of Our Lady, simply walk towards the Grote Markt by heading down the street that runs alongside the cathedral. You will see the Grote Markt square ahead. Once you reach the square, you will find Antwerp City Hall immediately on your left at Grote Markt 1, next to the Brabo Fountain. The area is pedestrian-friendly and offers a great view of the historic buildings.

  • Walking from the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS)

    If you are visiting the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS), exit the museum and head towards the river. Walk along the Scheldt River promenade heading west until you reach the 'Sint-Paulusstraat'. Turn left and follow the street until you reach the 'Meir' shopping street. From there, continue straight until you reach the Groenplaats. At Groenplaats, walk towards the Cathedral of Our Lady, and then turn left to arrive at the Grote Markt. Antwerp City Hall is located at Grote Markt 1, right next to the Brabo Fountain.
