From the center of Rochehaut, follow the signs for 'Balade des Échelles' or route number 43. The trail starts near the viewpoint overlooking Frahan. Follow the marked path downhill, passing through the village and into the forest. The ladders are located along the cliff faces as you descend into the Semois valley. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and allow 2-3 hours to complete the loop.

From Bouillon, take the TEC bus line 45 to Rochehaut. The bus ride takes approximately 32 minutes and costs €2-€3. Get off at the Rochehaut Eglise or Rochehaut Le Routy stop, which are both within walking distance of the trail. From the bus stop, follow the signs to the viewpoint and the start of the Balade des Échelles.
