    Discover more about Chateau Jemeppe

Chateau Jemeppe, also known as Hargimont Castle, offers a unique blend of history and modern luxury in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. Its story began in the mid-13th century with the construction of a square, 23-meter-high donjon (castle tower). This tower provided refuge for the lords of Jemeppe during a time of conflict between the Namur and Luxembourg dynasties. Over the centuries, Chateau Jemeppe expanded from a fortified tower into a castle with the addition of three wings in the 17th century. Successive families added to the estate, including the construction of farm buildings with stables. By the 20th century, the castle had fallen into disrepair, but it was purchased and underwent extensive restoration starting in 1997, a process that took 14 years. Today, Chateau Jemeppe operates as an exclusive venue for corporate events, weddings, and other private functions. The castle boasts modern facilities, stylish hotel rooms, meeting spaces, and a restaurant, all set within a historic and elegant ambiance. The surrounding grounds encompass 45 hectares of woods and pastures, offering a beautiful backdrop for any event.
