Discover more about Deulin Castle

Deulin Castle, also known as Château de Harlez, is a captivating U-shaped château constructed with whitewashed bricks and blue stone, topped with slated roofs. Built by Guillaume-Joseph de Harlez and completed by his son, Simon-Joseph, the castle has remained in the family for generations. The interior boasts sumptuously decorated rooms featuring Rococo stuccos by François-Joseph Dukers and neo-classical paintings by Jean-Dieudonne Deneux. The seigniorial chapel, dedicated to Saint Remacle, features stunning stucco work and a baroque altar. The castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens, including a French garden restyled from an 18th-century walled garden and a landscaped garden with trees from the second half of the 19th century. The gardens offer a beautiful view of the Ourthe river. Deulin Castle is officially recognized as exceptional cultural heritage of Wallonia. Today, Stéphane and Dominique de Harlez de Deulin reside at the castle. While the castle primarily serves as an event space for weddings, congresses and exhibitions, guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more upon reservation.
