Leopold Park: A Serene Oasis in Ostend

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Ostend via the E40 motorway. Take the exit for Oostende and follow the signs to the city center. On reaching the city, look for Leopold II-laan. There is on-street parking available, but be prepared for parking fees that can range from €1.50 to €2.50 per hour depending on the location. Leopoldpark is located directly along Leopold II-laan.

• Train

  To reach Leopoldpark by train, take a train to Oostende station. Once you arrive at the Oostende station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Adolf Buylstraat. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Leopold II-laan. Turn left on Leopold II-laan, and you will find Leopoldpark a short walk ahead. The train fare varies based on your starting location but expect it to be around €5 to €10 for a one-way ticket.

• Bus

  If you're using the bus, look for services that head towards Oostende. Once you arrive at the central bus station in Oostende, you can either walk or take local bus lines that stop near Leopoldpark. Walking from the bus station to the park will take about 10-15 minutes. The bus fare is generally around €2 per trip.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at various rental shops throughout the Belgian Coast. Follow the coastal cycle paths towards Ostend. Upon reaching Ostend, head towards Leopold II-laan, and you will find Leopoldpark. Be aware of potential bike rental fees, which can range from €10 to €20 per day.
