If you are driving from Bruges, take the E40 highway towards Ghent. After approximately 30 km, take exit 9-Gent-West towards N9. Follow the N9 for about 5 km, then turn right onto Lange Violettestraat. The Begijnhof O.L.V. ter Hoyen is located at number 77-273. There is street parking available, but it may be limited, so consider arriving early. Note that parking fees may apply.

To reach Begijnhof O.L.V. ter Hoyen by train, first take a train from Bruges to Ghent. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ghent's main train station (Gent-Sint-Pieters), exit the station and take tram line 1 (direction 'Gent - Korenmarkt'). Get off at the 'Korenmarkt' stop. From there, you can walk to Lange Violettestraat, which is about a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take bus number 3 or 5 from Korenmarkt to reach your destination.

If you prefer to take the bus from Bruges, you can catch bus number 14 from the Bruges bus station to Gent. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Gent bus station, you can walk to Lange Violettestraat which is about a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take tram line 1 from the bus station to the Korenmarkt and transfer to bus number 3 or 5 to reach your destination.

For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Bruges and ride to Ghent. The ride is approximately 30 km and will take about 1.5 hours. Follow the designated bike paths towards Ghent, and once you reach the city, navigate to Lange Violettestraat. There are bike racks available at the Begijnhof for parking.
