Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Bruges, take a De Lijn bus or tram towards Zeebrugge. Several routes connect Bruges with Zeebrugge Strandwijk, the closest stop to Fonteintjes. From Zeebrugge Strandwijk, it's a short walk along the Kustlaan to the nature reserve entrance. A single bus/tram fare costs €3 when purchased in advance or €3.50 from the driver. A day pass is available for €5 at kiosks or €7 on the bus.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Zeebrugge beach area, you can easily walk to the Fonteintjes Nature Reserve. Head east along the Kustlaan (coastal road), and you'll find the entrance to the reserve on your right. The walk from the Zeebrugge Strand train station takes about 15 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking.

  • Driving

    From Bruges, follow the N31 (A11) towards Zeebrugge. Exit onto the N34 (Kustlaan) and continue towards Zeebrugge Strand. Limited free parking is available at Parking D - Kustlaan, located next to the tram stop 'Zeebrugge-Strandwijk'. From there, it's a short walk to the reserve. Parking is free.
