Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Markt square, head towards the Belfry tower and take the street to its left, called Breidelstraat. Continue straight until you reach the canal. When you arrive at the canal, turn left and walk along the water until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach Dijver. The area is known for its picturesque canals, so keep your camera ready!

From the Burg, head towards the Basilica of the Holy Blood. After visiting, walk down the narrow street next to the basilica, known as Wollestraat. Continue straight until you reach the canal. Turn right on the canal and walk along the water. You will soon arrive at Dijver, which is a beautiful area along the canal.

Starting from the train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Koningin Astridlaan. Turn right and follow the road until you reach the canal at the end. Turn left and follow the canal until you see Dijver on your right. The walk will take about 25 minutes, but it’s a pleasant stroll through Bruges.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Markt and head towards the canal. Follow the bike path along the canal, taking in the sights as you ride. You can also take a scenic route through the Minnewater Park, which will lead you directly to Dijver. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes.

Public Transport (Bus)
Although Dijver is best accessed by walking, you can take bus line 1 from the train station towards Zand. Get off at the stop called 'Zand.' From there, it is a 10-minute walk: head towards the canal and follow it to your left until you reach Dijver.
