    Public Transport

    Ghent has an extensive network of trams and buses operated by De Lijn. From Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, tram line 1 offers a direct route to the city center, passing by major attractions. Purchase tickets in advance from Lijnwinkel or machines at the tram stop to save money. A single ride costs €3, but a day pass for unlimited travel is also available. Contactless payment is available on buses and trams for €3 per ride.

    Walking

    The city center of Ghent is easily walkable, with many attractions located within close proximity. From Korenmarkt, a central square, you can easily reach St. Bavo's Cathedral, the Ghent Belfry, and St. Nicholas' Church within a few minutes on foot. Walking along the Graslei and Korenlei offers scenic views of the city's architecture and canals. Be aware of bikes and trams while walking.

    Taxi

    Taxis are available at Gent-Sint-Pieters and Gent-Dampoort train stations, as well as at Korenmarkt and Woodrow Wilsonplein. Contact local taxi companies like ABC Taxi, Taxi 222, or Taxi Gent for pickups. Keep in mind that taxis not operating from a taxi stand may have different prices. The basic fare is €10, with a price of €2.60 per km. Expect to pay around €30 for a short trip within the city.

Paid parking is available in car parks like Parking Sint-Michiels near Korenmarkt. Parking Sint-Michiels costs different rates for day, night and Sunday. On-street parking is also available, but time limits and fees vary by zone.
