Getting There

• Car

  From anywhere in Condroz, head towards the N4 highway. Follow signs for Dinant. Once you arrive in Dinant, follow the signs for 'Citadelle de Dinant.' The citadel is located at Chem. de la Citadelle 1, 5500 Dinant. There is a parking area available near the base of the citadel, but note that parking may incur a fee, typically around €2-€4 for a few hours.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  Take a train from your nearest station in Condroz to Dinant station. The journey typically takes about 30-60 minutes depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at Dinant station, exit the station and walk towards Rue de la Station. From there, you can either walk (approximately 20-30 minutes uphill) to the Citadelle or take a local taxi. If you choose to walk, follow the signs for 'Citadelle' which will lead you through the picturesque streets of Dinant.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Check the local bus schedules for a route from your location in Condroz to Dinant. Once you arrive at the Dinant bus station, you can either walk (approximately 20-30 minutes uphill) to the Citadelle or take a local taxi. Follow the signs for 'Citadelle' if walking. Buses may cost around €3-€5 depending on the distance.

• Walking from Dinant

  If you arrive in Dinant by public transportation, you have the option to walk to the Citadelle. Starting from Dinant train or bus station, head straight onto Rue de la Station, then continue onto Rue des Combattants. Follow the signs for the Citadelle. The walk includes a steep incline, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a workout. The distance is approximately 1.5 km and takes around 20-30 minutes.
