Walking
From the center of Dinant, start at the famous Dinant Citadel. Head southeast on Rue de la Station towards Rue de la Basse-Mer. Continue straight until you reach the Meuse River. Follow the riverbank path, which is well-marked and scenic. Keep following the river until you reach a bridge leading into Hastière. Cross the bridge and continue along the riverbank. After approximately 3.5 kilometers, you will arrive at Barrage d'Hastière, located on the right side of the river.
Bus
From Dinant train station, take the local bus (Bus line 21 or 22) towards Hastière. The bus departs from the stop right outside the station. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the 'Barrage d'Hastière' stop. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, you will be just a short walk away from the Barrage, which is located nearby.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Dinant. Start from the center of Dinant and head towards the Meuse River. Follow the designated cycling path along the river, which is mostly flat and scenic. The cycling distance to Barrage d'Hastière is approximately 5 kilometers. You will enjoy beautiful views as you ride, and it should take around 20-30 minutes to reach your destination.
