Breathtaking Views at Moniat Viewpoint

Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Dinant, near the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame. Head south on Rue de la Station, walking towards the Meuse River. Continue walking along the riverfront on Rue de la Meuse until you reach Pont Charles de Gaulle. Cross the bridge to the other side of the river. After crossing, take a left and follow the riverside path which will lead you to Avenue de la Meuse. Continue along this road until you reach the intersection with Rue du Moniat. Turn right onto Rue du Moniat, which will take you uphill. Follow this road as it winds up and eventually leads you to the Moniat viewpoint, which is located at the top of the hill and offers stunning views of Dinant.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Dinant. Start at the central square and head south towards Rue de la Station. Ride along the Meuse River on Rue de la Meuse until you reach Pont Charles de Gaulle and cross the bridge. Once on the other side, take a left onto the riverside cycling path that follows the Meuse. Continue straight on this path, and when you reach Avenue de la Meuse, turn right. Follow Avenue de la Meuse to the Rue du Moniat intersection, where you will turn right. Cycle up Rue du Moniat, which will lead you to the Moniat viewpoint, where you can park your bike and enjoy the view.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare application. Simply provide the driver with the destination address: 'Moniat viewpoint, 5500 Dinant'. The driver will take you directly to the viewpoint. This is a convenient option if you're looking to save time or if walking up the hill seems too strenuous.
