Château D'Avin: A Fairytale Venue in the Belgian Countryside

Nestled in the heart of the Belgian countryside, Château D'Avin stands as an elegant testament to history and refined taste. Located in the village of Avin, part of the municipality of Hannut, in the province of Liège, this castle offers an exceptional setting for a variety of events, from weddings and family reunions to corporate seminars and training courses.The history of Château D'Avin dates back to at least 1602, when it was depicted in a painting as belonging to Jean Dauvin, an archdeacon of Namur. However, evidence suggests the site may have been occupied as early as the 15th century, with old vaulted cellars and a tombstone dating back to 1573 discovered on the grounds. In the 19th century, the Château underwent significant transformations, including the addition of a second floor to increase its prestige.Today, Château D'Avin offers a range of reception rooms for hire, as well as a holiday home in its outbuildings. The Château's pleasant, adjoining rooms can accommodate up to 300 guests for a cocktail party and 140 for a sit-down meal. The outbuildings can accommodate 100 people for a cocktail party or private evening, and 60 people for a sit-down meal. The holiday home can accommodate 22 people.
