Public Transport

From Genk Station, take bus route 3 towards Bokrijk. Disembark at the 'Bokrijk' stop, near the roundabout at Car Park 1 or Car Park 2. From there, follow signs to the Rozentuin, approximately a 5-10 minute walk. A single bus fare is approximately €3.

Walking

From the Bokrijk train station, exit the station and walk approximately 5 minutes to the park entrance. Follow the signs towards the Open-Air Museum; the Rozentuin is located near the playground, a short walk from the entrance.

Car

Drive to Bokrijk and follow signs to Parking 1 or Parking 2. From the parking area, the Rozentuin is a short walk. Parking fees during the Bokrijk season (April 1 to November 5) are €5.00 per day. Parking is free outside of this period, except during special events.

The Rozentuin is a delightful part of Bokrijk, a 550-hectare park and museum complex near Genk. Bokrijk itself has a rich history, dating back to 1252 when it was first mentioned as 'Buscurake,' a forest. The Province of Limburg acquired the domain in 1938, with plans for an open-air museum officially established in 1953.The Rozentuin provides a sensory experience with its vibrant colors and fragrant blooms. It's a place for relaxation, featuring lush flowers, aromatic plants, a koi pond, cozy seating areas, and shaded pergolas. The garden is near the playground and, like the Arboretum, is accessible year-round without an entrance fee.While the Open-Air Museum and other Bokrijk attractions showcase the region's cultural history, the Rozentuin offers a natural escape. Visitors can explore the broader Bokrijk domain, including the Arboretum, Cycling Through Water, and the Open-Air Museum, to fully appreciate the blend of nature and culture.
