From the Genk train station (Station Genk), exit onto G. Van Wassenhovestraat and head southeast. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Vennestraat. Turn left onto Vennestraat and continue walking for about 1 km. You will pass a few shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Park van de Kuilen. After reaching the park, follow the pathway through the park, which will lead you towards the Terril Winterslag area. The terril is a prominent hill and should be visible as you approach.
