Start at the Hasselt city center, specifically at the main square (Grote Markt). From there, head east on the Kapelstraat towards the intersection with the Vismarkt. When you reach the Vismarkt, turn left onto the Vismarkt street and continue straight until you reach the main road, Aardbeienstraat. At this point, follow the Aardbeienstraat until you reach the intersection with the Herkenrodeabdij street. Turn right onto Herkenrodeabdij street, and keep walking until you reach Herkenrode Abbey, located at Herkenrodeabdij 4, 3511 Hasselt. The walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

From the Hasselt bus station (Station), take bus line 25 towards 'Kuringen'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Kuringen - Herkenrode' stop. From the bus stop, walk south along the Herkenrodeabdij street for about 10 minutes until you reach Herkenrode Abbey, located at Herkenrodeabdij 4, 3511 Hasselt.
