Walking
From any location in Knokke-Heist, head towards the Knokke train station (Station Knokke). Once there, catch a train to Ghent. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Ghent St. Pieters railway station, exit the station and take tram line 1 towards 'Gent Dampoort'. Get off at the 'Sint-Baafsplein' stop. Saint Bavo's Cathedral will be directly in front of you as you step off the tram.

Upon exiting the tram, you can easily find Saint Bavo's Cathedral right in front of you.
