Walking
If you are in the center of Kortrijk, head towards the Kortrijk train station. From the station, walk south on the 'Stationsstraat' for about 5 minutes until you reach 'Grote Markt', the main square of Kortrijk. Once at the Grote Markt, continue straight onto 'Korte Steenstraat' and follow it as it turns into 'Meensestraat'. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the 'Brugse Poort' area. From there, follow the signs toward 'Bruges' (Brugge) which will guide you to the bus station. Take bus number 15 from the bus station towards Bruges, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bruges, disembark at 'Brugge Station' and head northwest on 'Stationsplein'. Continue walking straight until you reach 'Dijver', which is located nearby the picturesque canals.
Public Transport
From Kortrijk, make your way to the Kortrijk train station. Purchase a ticket to Bruges (Brugge) from the ticket counter or a ticket machine. Board the train heading towards Bruges, and the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bruges train station, exit the station and turn left onto 'Stationsplein'. Walk straight until you reach the 'Zand' area, then turn right onto 'Huidenvettersplein'. Continue walking for about 10 minutes toward 'Dijver', where you will find the scenic canals and bridges that this area is famous for.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Kortrijk. Start your journey by heading out of Kortrijk towards the 'Zuid' area, then follow the cycle path towards Bruges. The route is mostly flat and follows the 'Kortrijk-Brugge' bike trail. It will take approximately 1 hour to reach Bruges. Upon arrival, use the bike lanes to navigate towards 'Dijver', which is well-signposted and easy to reach from the city center.
