Getting There

    If you are starting from the Kortrijk train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, which is Stationsstraat. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Doorniksewijk. Walk straight along Doorniksewijk until you reach the junction with the main shopping street, Lange Steenstraat. Turn left onto Lange Steenstraat, and continue walking straight. As you walk, you will notice shops and cafes on both sides. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see the Grote Markt appear on your right-hand side, marked by the beautiful town hall and bustling atmosphere.

    From the city center, head towards the main shopping area at Lange Steenstraat. If you’re near the Church of Saint Martin, walk south down the street called 'Burgemeester Romain De Meesterstraat.' Turn left onto the Lange Steenstraat. Continue until you reach the intersection with the Doorniksewijk. At this point, turn right and you will find yourself at the Grote Markt in just a few minutes. Look for the large square, which is often filled with people and events.

    If you are at the Kortrijk's historical site, the Beguinage (Begijnhof), exit the Beguinage and head towards the main road, which is called 'Bellestraat.' Walk along Bellestraat until you reach a T-junction, then turn right onto 'Grote Markt.' You will see the Grote Markt directly ahead. This route will take you through some beautiful streets and will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
