From the Historic Centre, head towards the Place du Marché. Walk straight through the square, and take the Rue des Carmes. Continue on Rue des Carmes until you reach the intersection with Boulevard de la Sauvenière. Turn left onto Boulevard de la Sauvenière and walk until you reach the intersection with Boulevard du 12ème de Ligne. Turn right here, and the Citadel of Liège will be on your left. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 kilometers, which should take around 20-25 minutes.
