    Getting There

    Walking

    If you are in the center of Liège, start at the Liège-Guillemins railway station. Exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Take tram line 1 towards the station 'Sart-Tilman'. Get off at the 'Palais' stop, which is about a 10-minute ride. From the tram stop, exit towards the main road and walk straight until you reach the Place Saint-Lambert. This is a well-known square in Liège. From there, head southeast towards Rue de la Régence and take a left onto Rue de la Basse Sambre. Continue on this road until you reach the Rue des Clarisses. Follow Rue des Clarisses until it intersects with Rue de la Cathédrale. You will see the Cathedral of St. Paul on your right. Continue walking straight, and after a block, you will reach the junction with Rue de la Casquette. Turn left onto this street, and keep walking until you reach the end of the street which will lead you to the borders of the city. Cross over into the Netherlands where you will find the Helpoort in Maastricht, your destination.

    Bus

    From the Liège city center, make your way to the bus stop at 'Gare des Guillemins'. Take bus line 48 towards 'Maastricht' and ride for approximately 30 minutes. The bus will take you directly to the center of Maastricht. Once you arrive at the bus station in Maastricht, exit the station and head towards the main street, Keizersgracht. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Helpoort. Turn right onto Helpoort, and you will find the Jekertoren at Helpoort 1, 6211 HJ Maastricht.
