If you are traveling by car, navigate to '10 Mnt de Clausen, 1343 Grund, Luxembourg'. From the city center, head towards the direction of Rue de la Reine and take the exit towards Boulevard F. D. Roosevelt. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Boulevard de la Pétrusse. Follow the signs for the Grund area. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a fee. Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer public transportation, take the bus from the city center (Bus stop: 'Central Station'). Buses 1, 3, or 16 will take you to 'Pescatore' bus stop, which is a short walk from the Kasematten. From the bus stop, walk down the hill towards the river until you reach the main entrance of Kasematten der Stadt Luxemburg. A single bus ticket costs approximately €2 and is valid for an hour.

Public Transportation - Tram
Alternatively, you can take the tram from the city center. Board the tram at 'Luxembourg, Royal' station and travel towards 'Luxembourg, Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg'. Get off at 'Luxembourg, Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg' and transfer to the funicular railway, which will take you down to the Grund area. Once you exit the funicular, walk towards Mnt de Clausen, and you will reach the Kasematten in about 5 minutes. The tram fare is similar to the bus, around €2.

For a scenic route, you can also walk from the city center to the Kasematten. From Place d'Armes, head towards Rue du Curé, and make your way to the Chemin de la Corniche. This walk will take you through the beautiful old town, and you can enjoy stunning views of the valley. It takes around 20-30 minutes to walk to Kasematten, and it’s completely free.
