Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the city center of Ostend, specifically at the Ostend train station (Station Oostende). Exit the station and head southwest on Koningin Astridlaan towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, follow the promenade (Zeilweg) along the coast until you reach the intersection with Albert I Promenade. Continue walking along the coast until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will see the entrance to the marina area. Head towards the marina and look for signs directing you to the bus terminal. From there, take bus line 1 towards Dunkerque. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at 'Dunkerque, Gare' bus stop. From the bus stop, walk northeast towards Rue Militaire. Bastion 28 will be located on this street.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Ostend. Start at the Ostend train station and head towards the coast. Follow the bike path along the beach promenade, known as Zeilweg. Continue cycling along the coast until you reach the marina area. Look for signs directing you to Dunkerque and follow the bike paths leading out of Ostend towards France. The trip should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you cross the border into Dunkerque, follow the road signs to Rue Militaire. Bastion 28 is located on this street, and you will see it as you approach.

• Public Transport

  From the Ostend city center, walk to the nearest bus station. Take bus line 1 towards Dunkerque. This bus will take you directly to Dunkerque in approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Dunkerque, Gare' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk northeast to Rue Militaire. Bastion 28 is located on this street. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.
