From Ostend city center, head to the nearest bus stop at 'Oosteroever'. Take bus number 2 towards 'De Haan'. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'De Haan' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the beach. Head straight down 'Zeedijk' and you will reach De Haan Beach in about 5 minutes.
Bike
Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Ostend. Head towards the coastal cycle path, which is well-marked. Follow the path along the coast towards De Haan. The ride is approximately 8 kilometers and should take around 30-40 minutes. You will arrive directly at De Haan Beach.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Ostend Pier. Walk along the beachfront promenade heading towards the east. Continue walking for about 8 kilometers, which will take around 2 hours. You will follow the coastline until you reach De Haan Beach. It’s a scenic route with beautiful views.
