Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to the address Val Dieu 227, 4880 Aubel. From the center of Aubel, head southeast on Rue de la Station toward Rue des Combattants. Turn right onto Rue des Combattants, then left onto Rue du Cerf. Follow this road until you reach the signs for Val-Dieu Abbey, which will be on your left. There is parking available at the abbey, but please note that it may fill up quickly during peak visiting times.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Val-Dieu Abbey via public transportation, start by taking a train to the Aubel train station. From the station, you can take a local bus (line 1) towards 'Val-Dieu'. The bus stop is located right outside the station. You will need to pay a fare for the bus, which is approximately €2.50. The bus will take you directly to Val-Dieu Abbey, where you can disembark. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for departure times to ensure you don't miss your ride.

• Walking

  If you are already in Aubel and prefer to walk, head south on Rue de la Station from the town center. Then turn left onto Rue de la Chapelle. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Val Dieu 227, where the abbey is located. The walk will take approximately 25-30 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenic countryside along the way.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Aubel and head towards Val-Dieu Abbey. Take the Rue de la Station and then follow the signs towards the abbey on the designated cycling paths. The round trip is about 4 kilometers and is suitable for most cyclists. Ensure you have a bike lock, as there are bike racks available at the abbey.
