Walking
From the center of Tournai, head south on Rue de la Station towards Place de l'Evêché. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Carmes. Turn left onto Rue des Carmes. Follow this road until you reach the Tournai train station. Once at the train station, look for the bus stops outside. Take bus number 78 towards Zonnebeke. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Gaverstraat'. From the bus stop, walk along Gaverstraat towards the northeast for about 300 meters. The German Command Bunker will be on your right at Gaverstraat 2.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Tournai. Start your journey at the Tournai train station. Head south from the station and take Rue de la Station. Follow it until you reach Place de l'Evêché and continue to Rue des Carmes. Once you reach the Tournai train station, take the bike route that runs parallel to the railway line towards Zonnebeke. After approximately 7 kilometers, you will reach Gaverstraat. Turn right and cycle for another 300 meters. The German Command Bunker will be on your right.
Public Transport
From Tournai, go to the train station and purchase a ticket for the train to Zonnebeke. The train ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Zonnebeke station, exit the station and look for bus services or consider cycling to your destination. Alternatively, you can take bus number 78 which can take you closer to Gaverstraat. Get off at the stop 'Gaverstraat' and walk approximately 300 meters north to reach the German Command Bunker at Gaverstraat 2.
