    From the center of Valkenburg, head northeast on Neerhem toward Molenweg. Continue on Molenweg for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the N590. Turn right onto the N590 and follow the signs to Bemelen. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn left onto the road leading to Mergelgrot, which is well signposted. There is parking available on-site, but please note that there may be a parking fee.

    From Valkenburg train station, take bus line 57 towards Bemelen. The bus departs regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Bemelen, Mergelgrot' bus stop, which is located just a short walk from the entrance to Mergelgrot. Be sure to check the bus schedule for exact times. The fare for a single journey is around €2.80.
