Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Louvain-la-Neuve. Take the N25 road towards La Hulpe. After about 10 km, merge onto the E411 motorway towards Namur. Continue on the E411 for approximately 5 km, then exit at 21 towards Oud-Heverlee. Follow the signs for Oud-Heverlee and then for Heverleebos. The parking area is close to the forest entrance at 3050 Oud-Heverlee. Parking may incur a fee, so check for any signage regarding costs.

Public Transportation

To get to Heverleebos using public transport, start at the Louvain-la-Neuve train station. Take a train towards Ottignies and change at the Ottignies station for a train heading to Namur. Get off at the Oud-Heverlee station. From there, you can take bus number 1 towards Leuven and get off at the Heverleebos stop. The bus ride may take around 20 minutes. Make sure to check the latest schedules on the TEC website as prices and times can vary.

Bicycle

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Louvain-la-Neuve. Head towards the N25 and follow the designated bike lanes. It's a scenic route that will take you through the countryside and into Oud-Heverlee. The total distance is about 12 km and should take roughly 45 minutes. Be mindful of traffic while navigating into Oud-Heverlee, and look for signs directing you to Heverleebos.
